C'mon say it with me!

Heidi's a klutz!!!

So a week ago on Sunday, I was on my way out of the house and carrying Corey. I slipped on the ice and landed on my knees and caught myself with my left forearm. Corey didn't get hurt at all, thankfully!! I on the other hand was REALLY bruised. I had a lump about an inch off of my arm and some nice black and purple bruises on both legs.

Last Friday after I took Corey into the daycare I slipped on the ice as I was going back to the truck. Now I am not only a klutz, but an idiot too! When I stepped outside of the daycare, I glanced to make sure that there was no ice. I didn't see any ice, so I jogged to the truck. My very last step on the sidewalk, low and behold, there was some ice! Needless to say that my feet were off of the ground and I land very hard on my right hip and then my head bounced off of my shoulder. But it could have been much worse... At least my head didn't hit the sidewalk.

Then on Saturday morning I was walking down the stairs at my apartment, and guess who can't handle the stairs? Me!!! I slipped off of the edge of one step and slid down about five steps on my already bruised tush!

And then, yesterday we went sledding with Devin's brother. Stephen brought his snowmobile, so at the very end we tied the sled to the snowmobile and went for one last ride. He is the craziest driver ever!!! Apparently it is his goal to flip the sled and it was accomplished! I was on the sled with Lindsay, Stephen's wife. When we crashed her feet landed on my upper legs and left some nice bruises there too!

So c'mon say it with me, Heidi is a klutz!!!

But I have good news too! Our house should be done by April 15! I am really excited! We have the lot picked out and we signed the contract today. We are glad to have the stress of finding a lot over with, now we just have pick out the colors of paint, carpet, cabinets, and tile and wait for the house to be done. Yay!

Also, I will post pictures of Christmas and new pictures of Corey when I have time. I am still figuring out my new camera.

I hope you are all doing well!

Merry Christmas!!

I don't think this year feels very Christmas-y, but I am trying to focus more on Christ. He is the reason for the season after all! So I wanted to tell my frineds and family that I love you all and I am so grateful for your love and friendship throughout my crazy life. I really appreciate the support that you give me when I need it most. I am grateful for the gospel in my life, I think I would be lost without the hope that it brings. I am so glad for the opportunity that I have to be with my precious baby Leavi again. I am thankful for Corey and Devin and the love that they give me. I think my life would be pointless without them. They give me the hope and joy that keeps me going everyday.

Please remember why we are here and why we celebrate this season. I love you all and I hope you have a merry Christmas!

Bonus!

Today started out kind of crappy. I woke up early and didn't feel that great. I went to work early because I had an early morning meeting. And of course because it's Friday, it has been a busy day. During a slow moment, my Manager came out of his office and said that two employees in my branch had been mystery shopped. They ahd both gotten 100%'s and the names wer... Jenna and me!!! So what that means for the two of us is we each get 8 hours of paid time off, and a $200 bonus! Just in time for Christmas! I am so shocked and excited and I thought that I would share the good news with all of you. So thanks for listening to my good news!

House!

So I don't want to get my hopes up until everything is done, but we are going to buy a house!!! It is in Rigby, Idaho. It is almost 2100 square feet and has an acre of land, a septic system, a well, 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths and a 2 car attached garage. I will post pictures when I have some. Our offer has been accepted and we are finishing up the loan paperwork this week. So if we have any luck we will be moving in around Thanksgiving. Yay!!

Where is Fall?!

So it was nice here for a couple of weeks, but one day it just started snowing! So my question is... What happened to fall?!!! Needless to say that we are all going to need some more winter clothes. But hey, who needs an excuse to go shopping right? But I must say that I had hoped htat it would stay nice just a little longer. Oh well, welcome to Idaho!!

Candace, I need your blog address again if I could please. I want to add it to my list of friends, but I have somehow lost your blog address. Sorry!

I hope that everyone is doing good!

Hello from Idaho!

Well, I'm really sorry that it has been so long since I have posted. Things have been so busy with moving twice in the last couple of months, and I haven't had internet access for a few weeks.

But for most of you who wouldn't know yet, Devin, Corey, the dogs and I have moved back to Idaho. We are in Idaho Falls and loving it. I am working for the same company that I worked at when we lived in Rexburg. It is called Beehive Federal Credit Union and I am a teller with hopes to move up. It has already started to get chilly here, so I am glad that I kept my warm clothes. Poor Casey freezes every morning when I take him out to go potty. He is adjusting quite well. Chuck on the other hand has had issues. He seems to think that he has to mark his territory... in the garage...yay! Filthy dog! It has been a few days since he has done anything like so hopefully he is over it.

And, Coryey is now two... bring on the drama! We converted Corey's crib into a toddler bed. He seems like he's doing better with it. There was a few nights that he jumped at every little sound, but that could be becasue it's a new place too. I put a fan in his room to help even out the noise. We also pu a child lock on his door knob so that when he wakes up he can't open his door and fall down the stairs. He panicks every time he wakes up because he can't get out...poor kid! It scares me to death to think that he could fall down the staris.

Well, this is the latest with us. I hope that you are all doing well.

Jac, don't miss me too much! I love you!

Update

Hello to all.
I have started my new job with BBVA Compass Bank and am really liking it. I was in Tempe for one week of training and I have been on my own teller drawer ever since I returned to the branch. I enjoy my co-workers so far. They are fun and easy to get along with. They are all older women, so there is minimal drama, which is perfect! I have a hard time dealing with everyone else's drama when I have so much of my own!
Devin has started his master's degree online through Grand Canyon University. He is only two weeks in so far. He seems to be doing good with. He should be done with the program in two and a half years. (that feels like forever!) But the good thing about it being an online program is that it is completely portable and can go wherever he does thanks to a laptop and wifi... The beauty of technology!
I still find myself having a hard time with Leavi's death. It is getting closer to my due date and it doesn't seem any easier. It has been three months tomorrow, but it sometimes still feels like yesterday. I wanted so bad to bring him home from the hospital, and we thought that we were going to be able to at first. The nurses thought that they could hear a faint heartbeat. It turned out it was just mine echoing. We are looking into adopting, but that is several years down the road. Sometimes I feel like my heart just aches for my baby. I am even more grateful for Corey than I could ever express. He is my light and I would be lost without him. I would never wish this hurt on anyone and to anyone who has gone through similar circumstances I express to you my deepest sympathy. I just keep going with the knowlege that the Lord knows what he is doing. Devin told me that in the bible the name Levi means promise. So I hold on to the promise that I will have my little Leavi again.
Thank you to all of you who have been there for me and my family. It means so much
