In case you may not know, Heidi and Devin Pinckard became proud parents to a beautiful baby boy on Sunday, September 2, 2007 in Logan, UT. His name is Corey, and he was born six weeks premature due to Heidi's severe Pre-eclampsia. Corey weighed 4 pounds, 4 ounces and was 17 inches long. He is expected to have a 3-4 week stay in the NICU. Heidi is out of the hospital now and is recovering well. Heidi will be staying with some of Devin's family in Logan so she can be with Corey in the hospital until Corey is able to go home to Rexburg with her (about three hours away).
Due to her current circumstances, Heidi will not be able to join her friends and family here in AZ for a baby shower. I've decided to host it online for her so she can join in the fun too!

Congratulations Heidi and Devan! I am sure you are ready to have him come home with you... I too had my first baby premature 5 weeks early, she weighed 4lbs. 15 oz. she is now 2 1/2 and is healthy as can be. I wish you all the best of luck, he sure is a cute little guy!!!

Congrats on baby Corey. He looks very cute. You are only about 2 hours from me...maybe I can come up and visit! Is any of your family...you mom/dad or other brothers and sisters going to come and visit. It would be fun to come and say he and meet the new little guy (when he can have visitors!) Hey there Heidi Jo!!! I can't believe you are a mom now! We haven't seen you in so long. Congrats, and sorry it was such a scary event! I am very glad you are all doing well. Welcome baby Corey and congrats to Heidi 7 Devan! What a cutie! We're so sorry that you are having to go through so much but obviously he is totally worth it. C-Sections aren't easy but I think it would be even harder doing it so early and having your baby still at the hospital, so I'm very sorry about that. I know the time will go by fast but I'm sure it's still very difficult for you and Devan. I'm sure having family around is a help.

Raynie, it is good to hear from you! We see Britney often and she keeps us updated on how you and yours are doing. It is scary having a preemie isn't it? It is so good to hear from you!
Brandy, how are you doing?! It has been a long time since we have talked. Where are you living now? We would love to have you come and visit, but Corey can't really have any visitors for a while. The Doc said that he needs to stay inside and away from people for about eight months. Thank you for offering, but I think we'll have to hold off for a little while. I really hope you guys are doing good.
Rachel, thank you for your thoughts and prayers. We are doing really well. Corey is home now, so it feels like a real family. It still feels kind of sureal though. I feel I shouldn't have a baby yet, but he's here just the same and I love him so much.
Misty, how are you? THank you for stopping by this beautiful blog that Jac set up for me! It is good to hear from you. Corey is the best baby ever. He sleeps pretty good. He wakes up every few hours to eat and get a diaper change, but other than that, he really doesn't cry much. I think he has already grown since he was born. He is one month old today. He weighs over five poumds now!
Hey Les, thanks for the letter! I hope you guys are doing good. How is work and school for the kids? You mentioned that c-sections aren't fun, but I don't really have anything to compare it to, so I'm alright with it. I guess the good thing about the whole thing is that I was delerious, so I don't remember much. I went to the hospital on a Saturday and I don't remember much of anything until about Teusday. I guess that's one of the joys of modern science!
